Heather Redrick, Chief Nursing Officer at Emory Johns Creek, believes that it takes a village to get everybody where they need to be when you have a very active family. Between her and her husband of twelve years, a detective with the Dekalb County Police Department, they have a total of four kids, one granddaughter, and a four-year-old golden retriever named Lexi. A football-loving sports family, they are outdoorsy, but they also all enjoy settling in for a family games night. Heather’s work at Emory Johns Creek supports several schools and organizations in the community. In her volunteer life, Heather has served as president of Leadership Johns Creek for the last two years and can also be found in the nursery at her church on Sundays.

Pamela Hawkins, a resident of Johns Creek, works for Bank of America and is the chair of the Black Professional Group, Atlanta Chapter (BPG). Grieving over continuous killings of so many within the Black community, she knew that she had to find a way to be a vehicle for change. Seven events and 3,600 people later, Pamela is still actively working on a greater understanding of issues facing the Black community. Starting off each day working out and spending time with God not only relieves stress, it also allows her to be positive. From volunteering at work to her countless other civic, faith-based, or secular activities, it is easy to see why she received a Good Citizen Award from Representative Billy Mitchell. Pamela is the embodiment of service. She is happily married, has five children, a new granddaughter and a nine-week-old Cavapoo puppy.

Lauren Fernandez, a resident of Sandy Springs, is the founder and CEO of Full Course, a new kind of development and investment firm dedicated to the growth of emerging restaurant brands. As a mother to two-year-old son Miles and Audrey, her 11-year-old stepdaughter, she balances being a working parent in the same way she helps clients: Identifying creative solutions, delegating whenever possible, and looking for efficiencies. Recognizing that work-life is a blend, Fernandez praises meditation to stay focused and present in her busy life. She also serves as an Advisory Board member for the Atlanta Community Food Bank.

Kelly Weber’s family is well served by her decision to join the Board of Directors for Pebble Tossers, a youth development non profit whose mission is to empower and equip youth to lead through service. With a successful career at OneDigital, and two boys Dutch and Pierce, she and her husband, James, are happily consumed by their careers and their active family. Each of her children play three sports while maintaining a few academic extra-curricular activities. Kelly freely admits that she cannot accomplish all that she does without struggle. She is not embarrassed to tell others about her personal journey with mental health and is comfortable sharing with others as part of the way she gives back to the community. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys coaching basketball, entertaining, and involving her kids in her work as a part of achieving her work-life balance.
