The ultimate Atlanta Good Beer Good Food experience is this weekend at Steady Hand Brewery featuring Good Food Kitchens.

As you probably already know the craft beer culture is alive and well here in Atlanta especially on the city’s rapidly growing Westside. With micro breweries opening on every corner it is quite easy to get lost in all of the hops, barley, and malts. If you are in the mood for good beer good food, the ultimate Atlanta craft beer experience is this weekend January 11th at Steady Hand Brewery on Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard featuring Good Food Kitchens.

Steady Hand Brewery

Brian and Kevin Sullivan’s (yes they are brothers) Stead Hand Brewery opened in spring of 2019 after extensive renovations. Being fans of the outdoors it was essential to them that the brewery reflected their passion for being outside with family and friends. Steady Hand certainly succeeds in bringing a little nature into the sleek and sexy industrial renovation highlighted with a huge photo mural of the North Carolina mountains spanning one entire side of the interior of the building.

Brian began his “gypsy brewing” career in Georgia in 2016. Always searching for an empty tank and some space, Brain found himself crafting his beer by borrowing tanks from Southern Brewing in Athens, Jail House in Hampton, and Coastal Empire in Savannah. It was during this gypsy brewing time period that Brian was able to take his years of home brewing and continue his research and development, ultimately creating two of my favorite Steady Hand IPAs: Paradise Waits and Flower Business.

The Partnership Between Good Beer and Good Food

It is in celebration of the partnership between good beer and good food that Steady Hand Brewery will be partnering with local chefs to offer delicious pairings whenever they release a new beer. And, we are in luck because this Saturday, January 11th from 12:00 pm to 5:00pm Steady Hand is releasing the long awaited Winter Ale and 15 Degrees South, an imperial stout in conjunction with a Good Foods Kitchen pop up right in their backyard.

With production limited to ten barrels only, Steady Hand’s Winter Ale is small batch, Meyer lemon and spruce tip ale with over 300 hand zested Meyer lemons and freshly harvested Colorado spruce tips. This bright citrus, lemon, and orange scented ale is completed with a wonderful spruce overtone delivering a beautifully delicious beer for the winter months.

Secondly, the Steady Hand 15 Degrees South Imperial Stout is aged on Brazilian Amburana wood with a variety of malts including a classic North American pale, English chocolate and black wheat malts to deliver a wonderfully inventive and impressive imperial stout. This beer is full of warm winter flavors like cinnamon with a warm snicker doodle aroma. The finish on this imperial stout also has a ginger bread cookie kinda taste and smell. This beer fits like an old, warm, and fuzzy sweater but unlike the sweater, it will not last so long!!! Both of these beers are available for pre-order on CraftCellr and you can pick them up this coming Saturday!
